Just two more layouts

I finished the layouts I wanted to make for the kids' summer album. Now all i have to do is bind it. Not sure how i'm going to do that yet. :-)


I went to the doctor's yesterday. I decided to go ahead and give the hormone shot one last chance. Doc said it should improve. We'll see. Bad news was that I gained 5 pounds. Kids are super excited about tonight. We're going trick or treating with Rob and Sarah and the boys. Should be fun.

Two more summer album layouts

Wish me luck today...i'm off to the doc's for my third hormone shot. I'm really apprehensive about taking it this time, because i felt horrible for the past three months, but i'm gonna give it one more chance and then that's it!!

I finished this altered box which i made for myself this time. I love this one!! I didn't really have a box to store all my beautiful jewelery Dennis bought me, so here it is!!

Saunders' Farm on Friday Night.

We had a blast Friday night. Like Jory said to me last night, "I can't stop thinking about Saunders' Farm! The weather was absolutely gorgeous for a fall night -- nice and warm and a mild breeze. We had a chance to go through all the exhibits - and get scared out of our pants. LOL! I brought the kids, Allison and Jory's Friend Jared and we went with Sarah and the boys, Natalie, Ian and Robert and his dad. Saunder's Farm has a family friendly FALL outfit during the day also, which looks totally amazing!!

It was hard to take pictures, because I was either holding someone or holding someone's hand (ERIN!)...hahaha. SCARY! FUN THOUGH!

More of the everyday kinda me

I took these random photos of myself this morning, while my make up was fresh and i still had lipstick on. I don't always wear my glasses - i wear them to see far away, so when i watch TV, or drive. BUT i have a secret...I wear them to look sexy. Dennis always tells me that I look incredibly sexy with these on and he takes one look at me and 'va va va voom'. I think it's that boyish fantasy men have about school teachers and librarians. WOOHOO!






I did the cover for my summer album and these 5 min. altered tins to store my paint brushes and markers in. Pretty cool huh?!




By the way...i was delighted and am thankful to God for small favours -- my car passed the emissions test today, which means I can get my plate stickers and still drive! LOL!

7 randomness of me:

1. I let my kids play video games and play on the computer for hours, because it gives me time to scrapbook! ha!

2. When i was a kid i used to love filling out forms. I used to take old forms from school or from my dad's office that people weren't using anymore, and I'd play secretary. (OMG, Elizabeth, i think we are twins!) I was fortunate enough to line a job in a field that I love, but some days i really don't feel like writing and i can barely read my handwriting. HA!

3. I never make my bed and I sleep with a pillow under my knees because it's cozy. I sleep all curled up because I can never get warm. I sleep with my socks on. (Sometimes that's all i sleep in). ha!

4. Some nights, I don't do the dishes and i don't lift a finger in the house, but whenever I'm at my boyfriend's house I always make sure his house is spotless. Can you say, "Trying to impress?" **I can be such a people pleaser.

5. I cry myself to sleep most nights. I think too much when the house is quiet. I think about and worry about what my future will hold. I worry about my kids' future. I'm unhappy most days, but i smile anyways.

6. My son really needs a hair cut, but i'm lazy and i haven't taken him yet. I'm such a bad mother.

7. I hate shoes. My feet are wide and wearing them is like torture cuz it's hard to find a pair that fit comfortably! I love black high heel boots though, cuz it makes me feel like I'm 18 again, when i'm wearing them.

I love my friends and sisters!

I went to visit Sarah last night. She has gotten me some scrapbooking stuff lately that i just had to share with you. The first one is this little tote bag. It's awesome. It came with stack of cards and 8 x 8 paper, scissors and all these neat little pouches. Perfect to toting around!




And then last night, she gathered this for me. I couldn't believe it.... $20.00!!!!!!!!! This set is gorgeous!!! AND HUGE!








AND better yet, i just got the fabulous news that for my birthday my sister's have bought us tickets to go see BON JOVI -- HEDLEY is opening for them!! OMG, i'm so excited i feel like i'm going to pass out. I LOVE HEDLEY!! hahaha.
November 17th, I can hardly friggin' wait!!! I love you Diane....Brenda...Stella...we're gonna have soooooooooo much fun!!! I don't think we've ever been to a concert together! OMG!!!!!!!!!

2. Pink - Love it or Hate it? I love soft pinks on little girls, dark pinks on teenagers. I don't wear pink (clothing or make up), because my BF once told me, "PINK is for little girls"...and it's stuck with me...why did he have to do that??? ha....Pink is so pretty!

3. Signature shade of lipstick, lip gloss, etc: Anabelle - not too shiny, not too matte. It's a shade of burnt cherry.

4. Do you have a best girl friend? Yes!! Her name is Sarah!

5. Do you have a woman mentor? This might sound lame but I've always looked up to Dr. Phil's wife. I don't know her personally, but it has always warmed my heart the way she honours and sticks by her husband's side. She's a strong woman, with a soft soft heart...and is so cheerful and positive. She reminds me of who I want to be.

6. Are you a woman mentor to someone else? I have alot of friends that look up to me - because of my strength, but not sure if I would call that a mentor? I hope someday my daughter considers me a mentor!

7. Tomboy or Princess? I loved Elizabeth's answer on this one! I'd have to say Sassy too. Tomboy certainly don't fit...and I certainly don't fit into the Princess category either. I am WOMAN!

9. Are you a mom? Do you want to be one? I am a Mom, and yes it was my choice (they were planned) - and Yes I still want to be one.

12. Do you have a feel good outfit? Crisp jeans, black blouse or sweater, jewelery and my black high heeled boots. :-) I feel like a million bucks in that!

Sweet Quiet Sundays

I slept in until 10:00 AM this morning. OMG, it felt so good! I haven't done that in months. The kids slept in too. I was feeling bad about them always having to rush off every weekend, whether it packing up to be at Dennis' early Saturday morning or packing up to be at Dad's sometime in the afternoon. It was nice just to hang out - the three of us.

OF course, i'm missing my honey about now. Oh joy oh bliss!! I wish some weekends I didn't have any errands at all and could just scrapbook from the time i woke up until i went to bed. LOL! Okay get real!

Today was busier than i thought it would be

We went to Walmart and bought Jory some new pants (MAN THAT KID IS GROWING!)...nothing fits him anymore! The kids spent their hard earned money on a video game (Naruto) and we rented a movie. (EVAN ALMIGHTY).

I'm just making supper now but managed to scrap a double page layout. The thing i love about this one is the texture. I used fabric! I bought a bundle of black and white squared fabric at Walmart and all I did was rip them up and use it...it's great cuz you can use it for ribbon!!!

Friday Night was meant for scrapbooking

Came home from work, just so glad the week is finally over. I ordered pizza, we pigged out, then i started scrapping. The Mayflower kit from Life Preservers, from RUSTY PICKLE is just so inspiring to me...I whipped these two layouts up in about 1 and a half hours...that's pretty good for me.




Jory had his turkey trot at school today (Cancer Fundraiser)...and he's very exhausted...he looks like he is ready to crash!!

Now...off to watch the remainder 4 episodes of Prison Break Season 2. See ya tomorrow! Can't wait to sleep in...i'm so tired!!!

I wonder too

...about alot of things, but many nights when Dennis and I are sitting or standing out on the deck or sitting on the front porch we look up at the sky and have these deep, thoughtful conversations about God, the universe, about purpose...about all the unknown. After I had taken these pictures of Jory looking up at the fireworks on Canada Day, it reminded me of all the many nights I'd sit out and look up and wonder too.

I finally scrapbooked!

Last night was the first time I scrapbooked in a very long time. I was thrilled to bits that my Mayflower/September kit finally arrived. I am so in love with the colours, and the patterns on the paper and all the wonderful embellishments that came with this one. Shellye puts together amazing kits - they are always just right!!

Here's the first of my layouts using this kit (which also doubles as my submission for the September Sketch Contest.
I will never forget how proud I was that Jory won the Christian Award when he graduated Grade 6!!

It seems there is never a lack of drama at the CURRY house on a long weekend Steve is supposed to have the kids. I'm getting really tired of it (the drama that is). Anyways, turned out alright i guess.

I have a few pictures from Kayla's birthday, that i hadn't shared before now because they were on Dennis' camera...and we had lost the USB cable...anyways, thanks to EBAY, we now have one, so here's a few pics we failed to show you earlier. These are so precious.

And so for this thanksgiving I am thankful for my darling children and all those who love and support me - truly. Love you!!

We are addicted to Scrabble.

Thanks to Facebook Scrabulous I am totally hooked on Scrabble. It's my 'fad' of the month. (It was really wonderful when my fad of the month was the treadmill....but heck...scrabble is exercise for the brain!).

So last night, the kids and I played a game (I bleeped out the bad word for you all...out of respect). :-) Man...we laffed so hard i nearly peed my pants.
You will see these pics...starting out nice pics then laffing so hard i was in pain!! We ended up knocking all the laundry off the couch and I had to run to the bathroom to check my underwear. **OKay i DO get leakage. HA!
