Last pyjama day for a awhile!

Today will be the last pyjamas day for a while. I have a feeling that this is going to be a hectic, busy week. I still ain't finished my christmas shopping and I have not even started my christmas wrapping yet. But, boy...did we have fun today!

We made more cookies - sugar ones!

And then surprise...my nephew and brother in law dropped by with a gingerbread house they made for us. It's so awesome and christmas-y!! It's beginning to look alot like Christmas around here!!

Cookies and more socks!

Last night, I made two more sock monsters, with those big fat fluffy socks. OMG, they are so soft. :) AND I was so inspired by the MME papers from the LP kit that I made matching cookies.

Today, it's snowing like crazy. We are supposed to get 16 - 20 inches of snow. God help us. :( Off to bake more cookies.

More Sock Goodness

Tonight, it was snowing really hard and it was so bitterly cold (too cold to go out!). I was too exhausted from work to do any christmas shopping (plus I'm broke)...so the kids and I did some crafts instead. You should see my house right now. There is thread, cut up socks and cotton stuffing everywhere on the bottom floor. The dishes aren't done and I have about 10 loads of laundry to do. BUT...we had fun!!

Here is the monkey that Jory made. Yep...he made this one entirely by himself. Man...that kid knows how to work a sewing machine and needle and thread!! Ain't it awesome. Jory named him Migoogle. What a cute name!

I made these two. The first one is for Allison. The second one is the one I made for Kayla. It's a cat. How cute!

I am willing

A friend of mine posted this on my scrapbook club message board and it really spoke me to and I had to share it. :)

I am Willing. © Margaret Dubay Mikus

I am willing to change what doesn’t work for me in my life.
I am willing to listen with an open heart, without judging.
I am willing to plant seeds that take a long time, if ever, to grow.
I am willing to feel and let go.
I am willing to make mistakes and learn from them.
I am willing to live in the present.
I am willing to forgive and forget in my heart.
I am willing to love as much as my endless spirit will allow.
I am willing to be seen in all my radiance.
I am willing to be fearless.

I am willing to be powerful.
I am willing to be peaceful.
I am willing to stand tall. and walk gracefully.
I am willing to sing with my stunning, full voice.
I am willing to allow. I am willing to let go.
I am willing to change.
I am willing to see and be seen.
I am willing to hear and be heard.
I am willing to feel and be felt.
I am willing to heal and be healed.
I am willing to love and be loved.

I am willing to allow. I am willing to let go..
I am willing to be fully human.

Sock Monsters

I am way too sloppy and have no patience, but considering my lack of talent in this area, and using those cheap polyster socks...these sock monsters the kids and I made tonight turned out pretty cute. It was good practice. NOW...i know how to make good ones for the kids for christmas. ;)

Thanks to my awesome friend Gabrielle for the inspiration.

Christmas photos and an update

Tonight, we finally took our family christmas hats photo in front of our tree.
Even though some of these are whacky, but we had so much fun doing them. Jory is such a ham these days and Kayla is a little prima donna!! :)

And here's some of the other photos we took which didn't really turn out but I didn't have the heart to delete.

In other news...Jory had his allergy testing done last Friday. His allergy list is longer than mine! LOL!

Severely allergic to: House Dust and Ragweed.
Moderately allergic to: Cats, maple trees, ash trees, dandelion, and sage!

It's no wonder his nose is always raw and bloody - poor little fella!! Okay, so I need y'all to tell me which photo you like the best...cuz I would really like to include it in my christmas cards this week. Better late than never right?! ;)

I've been sick for a week. I have a really bad cold/cough and sinus thing going on. I spent the past 4 days laying on the couch coughing up my lungs and blowing snot into a kleenex. I'm finally starting to feel somewhat better today, but I think this is gonna be a long haul.
I was so sick, I let the kids put up the tree yesterday. They decorated it entirely by themselves. I must admit that I was pretty darn proud of them because it is decorated just the way I would have done it myself. They even decorated the mantel!! It looks fabulous.

Aren't these little snowmen the cutest??

Willow was sneaking in the wire tinsel garland. Jory caught these two quick snapshots of her. Adorable!!

I'll try to get some family snapshots of me and the kids with our christmas hats on tonight or tomorrow. I've been too sick to leave the house, let alone put make up on!! ha!

It's snowing!

Snowing like crazy right now.  I guess I shouldn't complain since we didn't get the 25 cms we were supposed to get on Sunday night.  They were calling for flurries today, but it's SNOWING...like really hard.  AGHH!  YUCK.

Thought i'd update you - Jory is feeling better now!  He's got a bit of a cold, but other than that he is doing well.  I had a stomach bug on Saturday night/Sunday but am feeling better now.  I guess it's just that time of year.  We started taking our Vitamin C last night.

Hoping to get the christmas tree up this week.  Haven't really been very motivated to do anything this year.  I wish Christmas would just go away.  TOO MUCH MONEY!!

I did some scrapbooking last weekend and thought I'd share some of the projects I worked on.  Other than that...everything else is fine and same ole, same ole.

Wednesdays are terrible TV nights

Thank you all for your prayers for my Jory. He's feeling better now. All there is left is a few sniffles and a bit of a clogged nose. OTC medicine will take care of that! Tonight, there is nothing on TV. I wish it was Tuesday or Thursday...because Wednesday's absolutely suck for TV. I should be cleaning, but nooooooooooo...i wanted to finish up the November Alternate kit from my Scrapbook club.

I know it's kinda girly with the flowers on the side, but I wanted to scrap those pictures of Liam and well...i went with the flow. The look on his face tells exactly what he's thinking, "OMG, it's an amazing view from up here at the top of the apple tree!" Don't you think?? ;)

David...i want to see some pictures of Natasha...i haven't seen her in a long time and i wanna see how much she's grown!!  Update your Facebook eh?!  ;)  CIAO!!  Love you's all!!

Tuesday TV and an update on Jory

Tonight I am chillaxin' with the kids on the couch. Jory's neck is feeling better now, but he seems to have a cold now. Viruses this time of the year can drive you crazy. I'm going to book him for allergy testing this week. We're going to live, but thank you for your thoughts and prayers. :)

This morning we had a little snow and Kayla's bus ended up in the ditch. (Second time this fall!) The bus driver told them to get off the bus and find their own way to school. Can you believe that?? Luckily, her two friends had just gotten on the bus and lived around the corner. So she camped out at their house until I picked her up and brought her home. She was happy to skip a day, but i was really ticked at Public Transit! Grrrr!!!

Has anyone ever watched "My Shocking Story" on The Learning Channel?? Jory and I watch this every week and I have to say this show really makes you feel blessed and fortunate to be healthy.
After this we watch Mystery Diagnosis. I love Medical shows...reminds me of how much I wanted to be a nurse. :(

AND tonight I made one more layout. I really love this Chatterbox line and especially that stitched felt. To die for!! :) Here's the layout I made of Kayla with her Math Department Award of Merit for grade 10!! She was so surprised to get it but so proud because she works so hard and struggles so much - she deserved it! Proud of you baby.
