The Crazy Cat??

So i did this layout about that crazy Santa Dog Suit that i put in Kayla's Stocking. It was meant to be for one of her stuffed animals (which she likes to get all dressed up and put on her top bunk bed)...but the kids had a different idea. This is Cameron and Allison taunting and teasing Smudgie with that Santa suit. The only reason the cat sat still for so long and let them torture her was because she just happened to be in heat...and loved the attention.

Crazy Cat??? Nah...maybe just a bunch of crazy kids. :)

Happy New Year everyone who reads my blog!! Tomorrow...right after i'm done work, the children and I are heading out to D's house to spend The New Year's with them. I've got a tonne of food...should be a good one! Hope you all have fun!!! xo

Our Christmas Tree

I did one layout this morning, in between loads of laundry and two cups of coffee. Shhhh....i'm not too fussy about Daisy D's paper...in fact, i don't really like much of their stuff. (Am i nuts??) **The paper in that layout is from a mini pack i got from LP...but i didn't really like it very much.

I really felt like being lazy this morning, but we're off to do some shopping for New Year's Eve food. :) I'm thinking naachos, meatballs, egg rolls, stuffed mushrooms....mmmmm. Hey it's really warm out too!

My first Christmast Layout of 2007

I finally did some scrapbooking...it feels like it has been forever!

We went to Walmart today and i stocked up on household supplies, (toilet paper, shampoo, air fresheners, toothpaste, laundry soap, garbage bags, Doritos, batteries)...you know that stuff. I also exchanged the pj's Mom and Dad got me and i bought myself a couple pairs of lounging around in the house cotton sets...OMG, so awesome. WELL...i spent $300.00 today and it didn't really look like there was much there!!

Oh well.

The Baby

Uncle David and Auntie Sandy came to visit us with the baby Natasha yesterday. I can't believe how big she's gotten. She's so adorable!!

Mom and Dad...WOW!!! Thank you so much for the PJ's and those envelopes with the cash...OMG, that was way too generous!! The kids were so excited...you could have peeled them off the wall. Everyone's PJ's fit and loved them...except mine...for some reason the top was smaller than the bottom...somebody must have switched them on the hanger in the store. Thanks though...i shall exchange them tomorrow with the receipt you left! Thank you!!!!

I ordered some scrap supplies with the rest of the money and treated myself... I think the kids are going to buy something at Chapter's tomorrow. Love you!

Our Christmas Day

The kids woke up this morning very excited. Kayla was like a little child...ha, she woke up at 4 am, so excited...thankfully, they didn't wake me up till 6 though. They absolutely loved all their presents and it was so nice to spend the entire day at home and have those we love and care about come to visit us for dinner. Dennis, Allison and Rob, Sarah and the boys came for dinner. It was so nice. I'm totally wiped though...busy day!!

The kids right now are cuddled and cozy watching a movie...and i'm gonna sneak off to bed in a few...just after i finish this glass of wine, to unwind.

Here are a few pictures of our day...to highlight...you can view the entire album here.
I'll be leaving for Dennis' tomorrow...and won't be home until Boxing day sometime. Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Last minute cards i made

Today the kids and I are celebrating Christmas and I'll post pics of that tonight...but for now I just wanted to share the couple of cards that I made for their grandparents for christmas. Inside are gift cards for coffee - starbucks and tim horton's. MMMMMMMMM. Michelle, i finally used the template you shared at the autism crop...the library pocket cards. I thought this was a great idea for the starbucks gift card, which i put inside. :) More later.

We are gonna have an early Christmas!

This year it is Steve's turn to have the children for Christmas. SO that means...we will do our 'christmas' on Sunday, December 23rd. I can't wait. Dennis and Allison are gonna come done and celebrate with us and I'm gonna make an awesome christmas feast!! I spent the night making these picture frames which I will be using for Christmas gifts. The paper I used is from Cosmo Cricket (Halfway Cafe). Have I ever mentioned how much I love their paper?? IT's beautiful...nice and thick and the colours are so rich...and you can work with them!!! LOVE IT!

Just going off to bed now...totally wiped...and exhausted.

Mom and Dad...hope you read. The kids and I would really all love new pyjamas for christmas...does that make it easy for you? FLANNEL or Cotton....NO NIGHTGOWNS please...i get all twisted in them...we all love those pj's with pant bottoms....mmmmmmmmmmm...the softer the better. Jory usually wears pyjamas pants and a t-shirts...so whatever you think! Some traditions you just never grow out of...and I always loved getting my pyjamas from you for Christmas! Love you guys!

Kayla's new coat and hat

Kayla's gramma bought her this new winter coat and hat and I think she looks so totally adorable in it, I had to take a gazillion photos of her as we were getting ready to go to Cameron's birthday party yesterday. She's a doll!!!

Looking forward to the weekend

I need this weekend to myself so bad. I haven't been alone for about 6 weeks. Steve doesn't pick up the kids anymore...so thank you Brenda and Diane for watching the kids for me. I love you!

We made these cookies the other night.
Put a small blob of chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough in the small muffin tins...place in oven at 325% for 15 mins. When cooked, take out of oven and put a small mint chocolate cup inside...press down. Let cool. OMG, these are for mint lovers. You can buy the mini mint cup at Loblaws....the PC brand. DELICIOUS.

DELICIOUS!

First off I wanted to thank Sandra L for the recipe she gave me for those cinnamon bun thingies. I made them tonight and they were DELICIOUS. Reminds me of Beaver tails!! Def. making those again!! Thanks girl!

I also did these two layouts tonight because my entire house is clean, no laundry and we had enough leftovers in the fridge that I didn't have to cook tonight. I love nights like this.

For those of you who pray for me all the time (mom and dad I know you do!)...thank you. I have quit smoking. And although it's only been 4 days, i really feel like this is it!! Dennis quit too....which helps alot!! He's been smoke free for 8 days. YES, he's stronger than I am.

Here is Sandra's recipe for those hot tasty cinnamon beaver tail tasting type thingies. MMMMMMMMMMMMM...so easy to make too!!

Open a can of Pilsbury Crescent dough and place at the bottom of a deep dish rectangular pan. In a seperate bowl mix 1 cup of whipping cream (the kind you buy in the milk section that comes in a small carton), 1 cup of brown sugar. You do not have to whip it, just stir it. Pour over the dough and place in oven for 20 mins. at 350 degrees. While that is baking make a small dish of white icing (i used icing sugar and milk)...and pour over the dough when it comes out of the oven. OMG, so EASY and SO GOOD!

That's it, i'm done for the weekend

I just finished up two quick layouts and now i'm off to cook some greek pasta salad. AFTER that we're curling up on the couch, watching Extreme Home Makeover and hitting the sack. It's so strange and I don't think i'll ever get used to this, but it's only 5 o clock at night and it's pitch black outside!!! I hate that. Hope you all had a great weekend!!
