Manic Mondays

I'm gonna try something new (inspired by my bubbly, beautiful friend Zoa!). I'm gonna try to give myself something to blog about, so each day of the week, I'll be inspired by a specific topic. Mondays' will be Manic Mondays. These are a few stories in the headlines that have really got my MADNESS going. It's manic i tell ya!



So most of you have probably heard about Rihanna and Chris Brown. If it wasn't manic enough that a young man would have the nerve to beat the crud out of a young woman, then it must have blown you over the top (like it did me) when I heard she was actually taking him back!! I'm sorry...but I think it's a TERRIBLE message she's sending to young women and young teens all over. Someone smack some sense into that girl. And after that...let's smack the crap outta her out-of-control loverboy. Ugh!


Here's another current Story that breaks my heart and makes me angry at the same time! Look at those babies struggling to survive, attached to tubes and fighting for life...at the hands of a young woman who obviously isn't thinking clearly! It really upsets me how out of control MAN MADE reproduction is getting. I mean come on...8 babies at the same time??!!! Did she not watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 before she did this? What an idiot.

Okay...now in light of all this idiocy in the world...here's a layout I wanted to share with you today that I made of Jory. I adore these photos taken of him at the campfire at sundown last summer. I wanted to tell him that I HOPE in spite of the way the world is that I hope he believes in LOVE, the power of Love and the beauty of love.

The President came to visit!

I cannot believe I've been such a bad blogger! How horribly bad of me. In my defense, I haven't been feeling the greatest - but today is a new day and it's a good one! ;) In other news, President Barack Obama came to visit Ottawa yesterday and he stopped at one of the shops in the Market and bought a beavertail! How cool is that?! It's already on Wikipedia!

It felt so good to scrap last night. I had to force myself (that couch was telling me to lay down and nap, but I forced myself and the results were great!). I used the February Featured Kit from Life Preservers Scrapbook Club to make these designs! What an awesome, fun kit! Check it out.







Kayla and Jory have been awesome. They both got their hair cut this week. Kayla got ALOT cut off - pics to follow shortly. Jory of course, thinks he's as hot as ever. LOL! Work is work and life is life. Things are good and moving right along. :) I cannot wait for Spring to arrive - I'm so tired of winter already!!
